About Bijou Media

Born as a way to offer his original award winning poetry, journalism and photography to the public, Timothy House created Bijou Media.  It has been a dream of Tim’s to put his talents together in a forum available to everyone.  In addition to being an award-winning poet, Tim will publish his first novel, from the short story “Pieces of a Puzzle,” late this year and has already published a book of poetry titled "Definitions".  As a writer, Tim’s articles City In Review The Blue Jays Beat and Dime For Your Thoughts are widely acclaimed.

If your tastes lean more toward visual art, Tim’s photography is a “can’t miss” for you.  With a natural eye for beauty, Tim is best known for his landscape photography.  Tim brings his many travels to life through the camera lens.  Tim’s talents are so varied, none of your senses will be untouched.  Adding “accomplished musician” to his talent list and you have possibly the most well-rounded and talented artist to appear in this decade.

Tim bears his heart and soul in Bijou Media, bringing all his talents for your critique and appreciation.  We hope you will enjoy the art you will find in Bijou Media as much as Tim enjoys reaching deep within himself to give some of the finest art for this age.

How Bijou Media started

Dreams are a neat thing. I named Bijou Media after this concept. Bijou meaning jewel in French is like a dream. You stare at a beautiful gem in our hand, you don't want to let go of this seemingly magical rock. The dream is like that magical jewel. The idea came into my head by a street named Bijou in Colorado Springs. I visited the city in June 2006 and biked up the street, as I looked back at Pikes Peak it looked as though Bijou Street led all the way to the prize Pikes Pike; it stood there like a giant emerald. I saw it like a road to a dream, which at the time was hiking to the top of the mountain. Later on I adapted it to Bijou Media, which showcases all my artistry.

Bijou Media is pleased to support the American Red Cross, The Snow Ball Express as well as being an active supporter of cancer research.
